12th January is birth anniversary of swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda was spiritual leader who was born on 12thJanuary 1983 in Kolkata, India in a Bengali family. Swami Vivekananda’s real name was Narendranath Vishwanath Datta, but he got famous by name Swami Vivekananda. He was great spiritual leader and because of his teaching millions of people’s life has changed. Ramkrishna Paramhans was Guru of the Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda has founded Ramkrishna Mission in 1897 in Belur, West Bengal. Ramkrishna Mission is NGO which works for Education, Healthcare, Rural & Tribal Development & also they conduct various spiritual activities.
12th January is celebrated as National Youth Day. On this day, we remember Swami Vivekananda and his teachings which are focused on self development as well as empowerment of our country in every field. In 1893 Swami Vivekananda represented India in Word Parliament of Religions which was held in Chicago. Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial is built at Kanyakumari, India which is visited by lacks of people every year.
